AUDITIONS

LOCATION:

On Stage Playhouse, 215 High School Avenue, Monroe, GA.

Actors of ALL ethnicities ages 16 & up are encouraged to audition.

AUDITION INFORMATION 

Please come any time during the audition dates and times. Auditions will last about 30 minutes. There will be cold readings from the script, solo and in groups. If auditioning specifically for the role of Crystal, please be prepared to sing a holiday carol. All roles are volunteer and unpaid.

*Bring your calendars and be prepared to note any rehearsal conflicts from the information below.
 

REHEARSALS

The first meeting/parent meeting and read-through will be Tuesday, March 11th. 

Rehearsals begin Thursday, March 13th.

 

Rehearsals will generally be on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 7-9pm and Saturdays, 2-5pm with a few Wednesday rehearsals depending on cast availability.  A more specific rehearsal schedule will be available at auditions.  No absences allowed during tech weeks, April 14-23, and during performances.

CASTING INFORMATION

Actors of ALL ethnicities are encouraged to audition and are required to be ages 16 & up.  All ages below are a suggestion, and can be adapted to suit available actors.  Total number of actors needed: 8 (6 women, 2 men)

 

Carlene Travis – female, 50’s, a no-nonsense gal with a dry wit

Nita Mooney – female, 50, a very sweet and simple country woman

Mavis Flowers – female, 65, brusque but likeable

Crystal Hart – female, 50’s, daffy and loveable, sings and plays Jingle Bells on the piano.  

Sugar Lee Thompkins – female, 50’s vivacious

Bunny Sutherland – female, 50’s, upbeat and seemingly pleasant with an ever-ready smile.  

Bobby Dwayne Dillahunt – male, 50’s, rugged good looks with a self-depreciating sense of humor

Porter Padgett – male, 50’s, good-hearted, gregarious blowhard
